How to Get Gems

Gems are the character-shop currency in Anime Dimensions Simulator. Raid tokens are the raid-shop currency. Mixing them up is how new accounts buy the wrong thing twice. This page is gem-first: where they drop, what they are worth, and why the 50-gem starter row is a trap after the first hour. Raid tokens show up because the same activities drop both, and because the raid reward table is 20 percent gems and about 78.8 percent tokens. If you only want XP, use Level Up Fast. If you only want raid mechanics, use the raids guide.

The game is free-to-play on Roblox, released 11 June 2021 by Albatross Games. You can finish the early Dimensions without spending Robux. Gems from dailies, codes, and raid rolls are enough to buy a real shop unit if you do not waste them on One Hero copies. There is no Trello with drop tables; the numbers below are the in-game reward weights players actually see on raid payouts.

Gems versus raid tokens

Gems buy characters in the gem shop. Starters cost about 50 gems: One Hero, Saiya, Kuroshi, Shinobi, Gomi. Mid shop faces sit in the hundreds. The units worth saving for cost 1600 gems and up. That 1600 line is the first time a purchase usually changes how fast you clear maps. The gem shop ranking exists so you do not pick a 1600 that underperforms the rest of the row.

Raid tokens buy raid-shop characters (often 3600 for a limited face), pets, limited items, gold (do not), event keys, and trait rerolls at 50 tokens a roll (or 100 trait tokens). Awakenings on raid characters cost a large token pile plus awakening tokens. Raid gacha pity is expensive: chasing a banner to pity can cost tens of thousands of tokens. That is a late-game dump, not a gem substitute. Tokens do not buy the gem-shop 1600s. Gems do not buy the raid-shop 3600s. Farm both, spend them on different counters.

Daily sources that actually pay

Daily quests are the strongest reliable gem income that does not depend on a code. The list refreshes every 24 hours. Log in, clear one dungeon, clear a dungeon with at least two people, clear a raid once, and clear Boss Rush once. Those tasks have historically paid 70 gems each (350 if you finish the combat five). After the pets update, the final “clear all other dailies” reward is a pet capsule instead of a 125-token lump, so you still want the full list for the capsule even though the gem total lives on the individual rows. Wait a few seconds after reset before you enter a raid if the daily does not tick; the quest can miss a raid that started on the previous day’s instance.

Codes at level 10 dump gems, tokens, and boosts in lumps. They expire. Redeem them from the left HUD CODES button using the codes list. Do not treat codes as a weekly salary; treat them as a bonus that funds the first 1600 or a stack of boosts for Dimension farming.

AFK Place pays gems (and gold or tokens depending on the room) while you idle. Weekends pay double after the 24 July 2026 mini update. VIP doubles AFK gems if you own it. AFK is slow compared with a raid block, but it is free time. Park there when you would otherwise log off, not when you still have dailies up.

Raid table, Boss Rush, and other drops

Raids are a damage-threshold mode, not a kill. Reward count scales with damage. Each reward roll on a normal raid is heavily weighted to raid tokens (about 78.8 percent) with gems at 20 percent. The remainder is rare: Boss Rush tickets about 0.5 percent, event keys such as a Madoki key about 0.12 percent, accessories in the 0.02–0.03 percent range, legendary cards about 0.4 percent, mythic cards about 0.1 percent, characters about 0.03 percent. You run raids for tokens and accept gems as the second-most common roll. Hosting versus joining can change reward count on event raids; on Goddess Madoki the host has historically taken 20 rolls and joiners 4, which is why hosting matters when you have a key.

Boss Rush is a chained-boss daily. Extra Drop helps here. Tickets from raids buy extra entries. Boss Rush has its own shop; spend those tokens on raid-token exchange or unique items, not gold. Time Challenge, Speed Raids, and Daily Raid drip smaller gem and token piles. They are extras on a gem day, not the plan.

Dimension card drops are not a gem farm. You run Dimensions for XP and cards. If a Dimension happens to drop a character, that is a bonus, not a reason to skip raids.

What to spend gems on

Buy one 1600-plus gem-shop unit when you can. Check how characters unlock and the tier list so you are not buying a 1600 that is only a costume. Do not buy a second starter. Do not buy three 200–500 gem faces “to try them” unless you already own a 1600 and have gems left over. Kit variety is less important than one character that can hit raid damage thresholds.

Pet capsules can cost 150 gems (or drop from the daily final reward). Gem-capsule pity for a legendary pet is a long counter (60 below-legendary rolls). That is a side spend after you own a real unit, not before. Raid-token capsules are a token problem; leave them on the pets page.

Robux gem packs exist. They are optional. Extra Drop at 999 Robux is the pass that actually changes farm quality because it adds drops in Dimensions, Boss Rush, and raids. VIP at 799 Robux is an AFK gem multiplier. Neither pass is required to buy a 1600 if you do dailies and raids for a stretch.

Spend gems when the shop unit would replace your starter in PLAY. Until then, stack them. The worst gem mistake in this game is walking out of the first hour with five 50-gem characters and nothing that can raid.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, raids, gems, and character picks.

What should I buy with my first 1600 gems?

A gem-shop unit from the 1600-plus row, checked against the gem shop ranking. Not another 50-gem starter.

Are daily quests still worth it after the pets update?

Yes. Individual dailies still pay gems. The final reward is now a pet capsule, which is extra value, not a reason to skip the list.

Do raids drop more tokens or more gems?

Tokens, about 78.8 percent of rolls. Gems are 20 percent. You still run raids on a gem day because 20 percent of a large roll count adds up.

Is raid gacha a good gem dump?

Raid gacha spends raid tokens, not gems, and pity is expensive. Do not convert your gem plan into a banner chase. Read Raids before you roll.

When can I redeem gem codes?

Level 10, CODES button on the left HUD. Lists live on codes.
