Gem Shop Tier List

The gem shop is not the full character rankings table. It is the subset you can tap with gems tonight. Anime Dimensions Simulator (Roblox, Albatross Games, live since 11 June 2021) puts heroes and costumes in that shop, rotates limiteds into it, and still sells the five 50-gem starter faces. This page is the spending guide. Farm routes for gems sit on the gems guide.

Older Twinfinite costs are still the right price ladder even when the portrait changes. If the shop is showing a current S name at 1,600 or 2,500, that is the button. If it is showing a 50-gem face, that is not a bargain.

Historic gem costs (still the buy rule)

CostOld shop namesShop rank then
2,500Hunter, SpeedS
1,600Eden, Primordial, Frostblade, Hope, Shiro, Akari, Ghoul, Blood Fiend, Cyborg, Spear GuyS
1,600Birbiri, Shield Man, Slime, Eden Alter, Onimie, ZapA
800Bowman, King of Curses (base)B
50Starter facesD or worse

Hunter and Speed at 2,500 were the “I have been AFK for a week” purchases. Speed is the mobility pick for dimensions: you tag packs, you do not stand in a beam. Hunter is the other 2,500 S. Eden / Primordial / Frostblade / Hope / Shiro / Akari / Ghoul / Blood Fiend / Cyborg / Spear Guy at 1,600 were the realistic first real mains. Blood Fiend is the Power-style kit AverageXfire still rates as a gem main. Primordial still appears on the current A table, which is a reminder that shop S from 2024 is not automatic S in 2026 — but 1,600 remains the floor you save toward.

The 1,600 A row is where people waste a stash: Birbiri (BiriBiri sits B today), Shield Man (C today, and AverageXfire’s Shield Hero skip), Slime, Eden Alter, Onimie, Zap. Same price as the S row, worse kit. Bowman at 800 is a B-tier bow kit. Base King of Curses at 800 is not Incarnate. Buying the 800 face because the Incarnate row is S is how you own a C-tier name with an S-tier reputation.

First purchase, not first portrait

The five 50-gem faces are One Hero, Saiya, Kuroshi, Shinobi, and Gomi. They exist so a new account can leave the lobby. They are not a gem sink. The starters page covers when to bench them. The short version: keep whoever you picked, bank gems from level-ups, daily quests, the Time Chamber, and codes (level 10), and do not tap purchase until a 1,600-plus name you will main is in the shop.

If Speed, Hunter, or an Eden-class portrait is still listed, that is still the first buy for dimension progress. If the shop has rotated to current S names — Shadow Monarch-style trophies, Ichini (Final) costumes, Power/Blood Fiend, Sung Jin Woo faces — buy those instead of hunting a retired SKU. Do not buy a costume for a unit you do not main. Twinfinite’s old advice still holds: skip pets and costumes until the first high-power character is owned.

AverageXfire’s gem ranking matches the mode split on this wiki. Speed (or any high-mobility 2,500) is the dimension farmer. Ichigo-line Final forms, Power, and Sung Jin Woo-style gem units are the damage buys. Shield Hero / Shield Man is the skip even when the price tag matches Eden.

Mobility versus raid damage

Gems spent on a dimension farmer are not wasted, but they are not raid DPS. Raid scoring cares about AoE and uptime; see the raid tier list. A Speed-like kit that dashes through a map will look worse on a raid dummy than a rooted beam that you should not have bought for raids either. If you are level 15+ and already clearing dimensions with friends, bias the next gem purchase toward a kit that can stand in a raid for eight minutes without self-rooting every cooldown.

Cyborg at 1,600 was shop S and is roster B. That is the other trap: an old price table is a budget, not a promise that Cyborg is still a main. Check the current S/A names on the character page before you copy a 2024 screenshot.

Special gems and raid-token shop faces are a different wallet. This page is gems. Do not dump your gem stash into a raid-token exclusive because a video thumbnail said “best character.”

What not to buy with gems

Do not buy the 50-gem row. Do not buy Shield Man. Do not buy base King of Curses hoping it awakens into Incarnate for free. Do not buy Bowman as a “cheap S.” Do not buy a seasonal costume for a unit that is still E in base form unless you already own that unit as a main and the costume is the actual upgrade (Gear 5, Shrine, Final, Six Paths). Do not buy the first A-tier 1,600 you see if an S-tier 1,600 is one daily quest away.

Gems also drip from leveling (about 25 per level, more after 100), daily quests, and AFK Time Chamber (3 per 5 minutes, double with VIP). That income looks large until you spend it twice on 50-gem faces. One 1,600 purchase is a week of playing. Treat it that way.

Online co-op will let a friend carry your starter through early dimensions. That is not a reason to delay the first real buy forever, and it is not a reason to panic-buy a C-tier 1,600. Hold the stash until the shop matches a name you would still main after the next limited rotation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, raids, gems, and character picks.

Should I buy a 50-gem character to try them?

No. You already own a starter. The 50-gem row is D–F. Save for 1,600 or 2,500. Details on starter characters.

Is Speed still the first gem buy?

If Speed, Hunter, or Eden-class is in the shop, yes for dimensions. If not, buy a current S-tier shop name, not a random 1,600 A.

Why skip Shield Man at 1,600?

Same price as Eden-class S, ranked C on the current roster, and called out as a weak gem unit in AverageXfire’s list.

Does buying King of Curses for 800 get me Incarnate?

No. The 800 shop face is base King of Curses (C). Incarnate is a separate S-tier form.

Where do I farm gems?

Level-ups, dailies, Time Chamber, and codes at level 10. Routes are on the gems guide.

Should gems go to costumes or pets first?

Neither. Buy the first 1,600-plus main, then costumes that actually awaken that main. Pets wait.
