Pets Guide

Pets in Anime Dimensions Simulator are combat followers, not lobby cosmetics. They sit on your equipped character, gain energy when you hit enemies, and fire a skill when the energy bar fills. Extra copies of the same pet upgrade the one you already own instead of filling a zoo. This page covers the pets update that added nine pets, Pet Capsule Series 1, the daily-quest final reward change, raid-shop pets, and the older Black Asta capsule as history. It assumes you already know how Dimensions and raids work. The experience itself launched on 11 June 2021 as a free Roblox game from Albatross Games; pets arrived later as a systems update, not on day one.

There is no public Trello for drop rates. Capsule pity numbers below are the ones players track in-game: gem capsules pity a legendary after a long below-legendary streak, raid-token capsules pity a mythic on a longer streak. Treat those as planning tools, not guarantees that the next click is the pet you wanted.

How pets fight

Equip a pet from BAG the same way you equip a character. In a Dimension, raid, or Boss Rush, every connecting hit feeds the pet’s energy pool. When the pool is full, the pet casts. Some pets deal a multiple of your attack. Some heal. Some freeze. Some buff crit or attack for a few seconds. Energy costs differ: a cheap Rare might dump at 600–900 energy, while a Divine can sit above 1200. Lower energy means more casts per fight, which is why a “weaker” pet with a short bar can beat a huge multiplier that never fires in an eight-minute raid.

Pets do not intercept incoming attacks. They will not tank a boss slam for you. They also do not need their own WASD; they follow and cast. If your kit never hits (you are missing, you are dead, you are waiting in the hub), the bar does not move. Hit-heavy characters and pets that reduce cooldowns tend to pair well because more skills means more energy events.

Rarity adds substats. Rare pets have none. Epic has one, Legendary two, Mythic three, Divine four. Substats are why you upgrade instead of collecting nine different Rares. Feeding extra copies into the pet you use is the upgrade path the pets update shipped with: extra pets upgrade existing ones. Do not sell or ignore duplicates of a pet that is already on your bar.

Nine launch pets and capsules

The pets update opened with nine pets. You could buy them in the shop or earn them by finishing daily quests. Shop prices and which nine faces were on the board have shifted as later capsules (Buff Boy, Warlord, Psycho Student, and others) were added, but the combat rule has not: energy on hit, skill on full, copies as upgrades. If you are looking at a modern capsule list with Yakaza, Hatsu, Cherry, Lia, Tengoku, and later Divines such as Cosmic Wolfman, you are looking at the expanded pool, not a different system.

Pet Capsule Series 1 sits in the shop. Capsule pity in one line: gem capsule 150 gems with legendary pity around 60, raid capsule 150 raid tokens with mythical pity around 100, and a speed-raid token capsule also at 150 per roll. Extra copies still upgrade the pet you already own. Capsules roll on gems, raid tokens, or speed-raid tokens depending on the machine. A common gem capsule costs 150 gems and can also drop from the daily-quest final reward. Raid capsules cost 150 raid tokens (or 150 speed-raid tokens on that machine). Pity on the gem capsule has been a legendary after 60 rolls that landed below legendary. Pity on the raid or speed-raid capsule has been a mythic after 100 rolls below mythic. Hitting the pity rarity resets that counter. Cherry is the heal example on the expanded pool — useful in Dimensions if you keep dying, rarely the raid pick. Plan gem capsules after you own a 1600-plus character; the gems guide is blunt about not spending your first 1600 on a pet machine.

Codes sometimes grant a pet or a capsule (the PETS code was the launch example). Redeem those at level 10 from the left HUD. Current strings live on the codes list. Do not wait for a code to start using a shop pet; codes are lumps, not a supply line.

Daily quests, raid shop, and Black Asta

Daily quests used to pay 125 raid tokens for clearing the whole list. After the pets update, that final reward is a pet capsule. The individual gem rows (login, dungeon, party dungeon, raid, Boss Rush) still exist, so you have not lost the gem income. You have gained a capsule on days you already wanted to raid. Finish the list. A free gem-capsule roll every day is how free-to-play accounts enter the pet pool without skipping a character purchase.

Raid Shop also sells pets and later capsules. Spend tokens here only after you have a raid unit and you are not about to buy an event key or a 3600 limited character you actually want. Pets are a damage slot, but they do not replace the character. A Divine pet on Gomi is still Gomi.

Black Asta’s pet capsule is a historical note. The Black Asta raid (code DEVIL, level 15+) shipped a limited capsule alongside the character and a Clover Kingdom lobby. That capsule is not Pet Capsule Series 1 and it is not a reason to sit in an expired raid UI. If you own the Black Asta pet from that event, keep it and upgrade copies if they still drop. If you do not, ignore nostalgia and roll the live machines. Other limited capsules (Buff Boy, Warlord, Psycho Student) followed the same pattern: a raid week, a capsule, then the game moved on. The July 2026 shop change that made limited raid items permanent does not automatically put every old pet capsule on the counter; check the live shop, not a screenshot from 2023.

What to chase and when to stop rolling

Chase a pet that either multiplies your attack on a short energy bar or gives a raid-relevant buff (cooldown cut, crit, freeze). Heal pets such as Cherry have a niche if you die in Dimensions; they are rarely the raid pick. Divine faces with huge multipliers and extra buffs are the long-term chase, but pity is slow. A Legendary you can upgrade with copies will beat an unequipped Divine sitting in BAG.

Use pets in the same places you use characters: Dimensions for XP, raids for tokens, Boss Rush for tickets, weekend AFK only in the sense that you leave the pet equipped so the first fight after you return is already set. Pets do not farm AFK by themselves.

Stop rolling gem capsules until you own a real unit. Stop rolling raid capsules until you can fill raid lobbies without worrying about the 150-token entry. Upgrade the pet you actually equip. Read the pets update notes for the original nine-pet patch text, then use the tier list to see which current characters want a damage pet versus a utility pet. Pets are a multiplier on a kit you already decided to main.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, raids, gems, and character picks.

How do pets deal damage?

They gain energy when you hit, then cast a skill. They do not tank hits for you. Extra copies upgrade the pet you already own.

How many pets launched with the pets update?

Nine. They came from the shop or from finishing daily quests. Later capsules expanded the pool. See the pets update for the original patch.

What is Pet Capsule Series 1?

The shop capsule machine added with the pets update. Gem capsules cost 150 gems (or drop as the daily final reward). Raid capsules cost 150 raid tokens.

Did daily quests stop giving raid tokens?

The final reward changed to a pet capsule. Individual dailies still pay gems. Finish the list for the capsule plus the gem rows.

Is the Black Asta pet still obtainable?

It came from an older limited raid capsule. Treat it as history unless it is on the live shop. Do not wait in an expired raid menu.

Should I spend my first gems on a capsule?

No. Buy a 1600-plus character first. Capsules are a side roll after the gem shop plan is done.
